OSUN LGEA AFFIRMS STAND WITH APC, HOPES FOR VICTORY.

Former board members of Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) in Osun State appointed during the tenure of former governor Gboyega Oyetola in 2020 converged for a solidarity meeting today at Gbodofon area, Osogbo. The meeting; which was presided over by its chairman Dr. Victor Olaniyi was unanimous in their support and allegiance to the All progressives Party (APC), the party chairman in the state, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, the leader of the party in the state His Excellency, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola and elders of the party. At the well-attended meeting of the former LGEA board members they were unanimous in their support for the party under which they served before the present government of Governor Ademola Adeleke showed them the exit door prematurely!

It would be noted that statutorily; their tenure was for four years but the governor supersedes the law by sacking them without any emolument or severance pay. This development warranted the former LGEA board members to take the case to the National Industrial Court and the case has progressed to the Court of Appeal which they believe that the final verdict would come in their favour. All attendees reiterated their commitment to the APC and its leadership praising the party for its steadfastness in the face of obvious intimidation by the ruling party. They also pledged their support for the current local government administration in the state peopled by APC Chairmen and councilors who despite constant provocation by the ruling party have kept their cool as they go about their official duties with equanimity. The former LGEA board members assure the public that the APC local government chairmen otherwise known as ALGON would not disappoint Osun people as they have confidence in their ability to make the government at the grassroots a darling of the down-trodden; and believing they will ultimately bring smiles to the faces of the people.
